During the Key West Meeting of the Minds Convention in
October 2003, Gary Blanchard talked to PHIP's membership chair about creating a
Parrot Head Club separate from the Ocala Club. Al Bross worked on and obtained a
release from Ocala per PHIP's requirements, and David MacDougall did the
necessary paperwork. On December 31, 2003 The Villages Parrot Heads Club was
created. David MacDougall became the first President and has since been
referred to as "The Founder." David also served as President the second year of
the club's existence (2005), and was followed by Al Bross in 2006, Jan Brooks in
2007, Bob Alosi in 2008, and Jan Brooks again in 2009.

Jan has been married to Dave Brooks for 34 years. They moved from Madison, WI in 2002, and live in the Village of Piedmont. They have 2 children, David, 30, who lives in CA and is in investment banking; and Jennifer, 27, who is an attorney in Atlanta. Jan loves volunteering and fundraising, but can be found in front of the TV watching sports when not doing Parrot Head stuff.

Born in Western Pennsylvania and moved to
Michigan as a teenager. Paul was an all-state basketball player in high
school and played Division III basketball at Alma College. After college he
taught high school and later earned a masters degree from Eastern Michigan
University. He worked 40 years in education, the last 35 in administration
at Lawrence Technological University. During the time that Paul was in
college and working at the university, he spent 47 years officiating
football, basketball and baseball at the college and high school levels. |

Will has been married to Sue Stone for 23 years and live in the Village of Lynnhaven. Will has 2 sons, Brian and Bruce, and retired from the nuclear power industry after a 26 year career. After early retirement, they owned the Chocolate Chicken, a candy and coffee shop in Egg Harbor, WI. In addition to his Parrot Head responsibilities, Will is President of The Villages Polo Booster Club. |

Gypsy and her husband Dick moved to The Villages in 2006. Gypsy retired from an Orlando based Defense Contract as a Business Development Proposal Coordinator in order to be a full time care giver to her husband, who was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s (ALS) disease in 2006. However, she continues to do occasional Consultant work in this area. Gypsy has two daughters living in the Orlando area along with six grandchildren. She enjoys painting (watercolor and acrylic), golfing, gardening and photography. |

Joanne has been married to Joel for 34 years. They are originally from Buffalo, NY where they have 3 children and 6 grandkids. The live in the Village of Santiago with their dog, Max. Joanne is proud of her long career in the computer business and raising her family, but now considers “partying” among her favorite things to do.

Moved to the Villages in 2005 from Pennsylvania. Was a Philadelphia Police Officer from 1970 -1980 Receiving 11 Commendations for outstanding arrest while serving with the elite tactical unit of the Highway Patrol. Started a Commercial Janitorial Service business in 1981 and sold the company in 1998. Obtained his Pennsylvania Real Estate License in 1998 and became a partner in the firm of Keller Williams RE in 2001. Charlie is currently a Florida Notary performing RE closings in Central Florida. Charlie served in the USMC and is a Vietnam Veteran. While in Vietnam Charlie was wounded twice and received two Purple Hearts for his wounds and a Bronze Star for heroism. Charlie has been married to Jean since 1969. They have two children Scott and Stacy. They have three grandchildren. Madison, Kelsie & Chase. Charlie has been a member of the Parrot Heads since 2007 and has served as Co-Chairman of the Poker Run and served on the 2009 Election Committee. |

Molly has been married to Jay for 26
years. They live in the Village of Bonita in The Kenya Villas with their
three dogs, Mazzee, Poohbella and Remmie. They still have a home in
Pennsylvania that they visit in the Summer. Molly loves to volunteer and
work with people. She is always ready to learn something new. Besides
Parrot Heads she is a member of the Psychology Club. Another great love of
hers is working at Golffest and The Special Kids Event. |

Jack has been married to Linda for 36 years. They moved from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware to The Villages in 2004 and live in the Village of Virginia Trace. Jack was a Reading Specialist in Cherry Hill, NJ for 35 years before retiring in 2002. Jack is a member of The Villages Baby Boomers, The NJ Club, the Sunset Pointe Photography Club, The Villages Computer Club, the Sumter Landing Bicycle Club, the Educators Retired Club, The Villages Canoe and Kayak Club, The Villages Miata Club, The Villages Delaware Club, The Villages Parrot Heads, and volunteers in the Lifelong College Office.
