Greetings Parrot Heads:
 
This e-mail is to inform our members that your EXCOMM has voted unanimously to move the first PHlocking of the month from El Santiago to Hacienda Hills.  This move will be effective starting with the October 7th meeting.  A decision was also made to move the Mallory PHlocking to the 3rd Wednesday of the month.  There was just too much confusion as to which Thursday of the month we met at Mallory, so the club PHlockings will now be the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month.  Our next PHlocking at Mallory will be Wednesday, October 21st.
 
Our club has grown in unbelievable leaps and bounds to a current membership of almost 850 and El Santiago could no longer accommodate the necessary number of members to stay at the current 2 PHlockings a month.  The current arrangement was causing an overload every month at Mallory and many of our members left simply because they could find no place to sit.  Please keep in mind that this is September, and the snow birds are just starting to return.  By December we would have club members sitting in the parking lot.  Our hope is that with Hacienda Hills being a larger venue those attending PHlockings will be split between the two more evenly.
 
This was not an easy decision to make as El Santiago was our club's original meeting place, but the EXCOMM felt it was the only decision that was in the best interest of ALL of the members.
 
My hope is that all of our members will continue to be patient throughout the growing pains of the club.

P.S.  The November PHlocking at Hacienda will be the 2nd Wednesday (November 11) because of MOTM.
